Andy Reid commands another level of respect after Chiefs contract extension
The new contract extension for Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid cements his status as the NFL’s top playcaller and team leader for years to come.
Reid will be in Kansas City at least through 2029, and that gives the 66-year-old plenty more chances to add to his legacy as the Chiefs’ coach.
Alongside Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Chris Jones, Reid has been one of the pillars of the Chiefs’ 2020s dynasty.
Kansas City’s three Super Bowl wins in the past five seasons, all before quarterback Mahomes has turned 30 years old, gives the franchise an incredible platform to continue winning for the rest of this decade, giving Reid a shot at ending his career as the NFL’s winningest coach.
