Chiefs are unstoppable as they add a perfect lethal weapon
When everyone geared up to try to stop the Chiefs, the Kansas City management made a masterful move and added, in the first round of the NFL Draft, a lethal weapon that was missing from Patrick Mahomes’ offense, already making them favorites to become the first team in history to achieve a three-peat championship.
The Kansas City Chiefs wanted more than just a simple reconstruction at the receiver position; they wanted to inject their lineup with devilish speed.
Their ambition received a significant boost in the first round of the draft when they negotiated with the Buffalo Bills to acquire Texas receiver Xavier Worthy. Worthy’s lightning-fast 4.21-second run in the 40-yard dash at the scouting combine solidified his selection.
Considering that the Chiefs had the second-best overall defense last year, and despite Mahomes’ issues with his receivers, they were able to secure back-to-back championships.
