Chiefs announce jersey numbers for their drafted players
On Monday afternoon, the Kansas City Chiefs used their official X account to announce the numbers that will be worn by the seven players the team drafted over the weekend during the 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit.
Wide receiver Xavier Worthy will wear the No. 1 jersey that was previously the property of Jerick McKinnon.
Tight end Jared Wiley will don No. 12 which Mecole Hardman was wearing when he caught the touchdown pass that won Super Bowl LVIII, while defensive back Kamal Hadden will be wearing the No. 17 that Hardman had during his first stint with the Chiefs.
Defensive back Jaden Hicks will don the 21 previously worn by safety Mike Edwards.
On the offensive line, Hunter Nourzad has taken No. 60, C.J. Hanson will have the No. 61 jersey last worn by Austin Reiter and Kingsley Suamataia will wear the No. 76 that previously belonged to Prince Tega Wanogho.
