Just in:”Travis Kelce Reveals He Spent Staggering Amount on Taylor Swift’s Super Bowl Suite”
Travis Kelce’s 2024 Super Bowl win was a pivotal moment for football fans and Swifties alike.
First came the nail-biter victory, and then there was the small matter of that on-field kiss when Taylor Swift rushed to congratulate her boyfriend. It was the stuff of movies, and Swift’s fans were overjoyed to see the Grammy Award winner being loved so publicly.
In the months since the February game, Swifties have continued to follow the singer’s blossoming relationship with the Kansas City Chiefs’s tight-end, as the pair haven’t been shy about their affections for each other. In fact, they’ve been rooting for each other all along.
It was around this time last year that Kelce revealed he’d tried and failed to give Swift his number after attending her record-breaking Eras Tour, and we now know the football pro paid big bucks so Swift could return the favour and head along to the Super Bowl, as he’s hinted at just how much he forked out for her suite.
Kelce commented on the jaw-dropping expense when he appeared in Netflix’s new show, Receiver. In the sports docuseries, he can be heard telling fellow player, George Kittle, the suites were going for a whopping $3million.
So, while the exact price Kelce paid has not been confirmed, it sounds like it cost him a pretty penny as Kelce previously confirmed he was splashing the cash for his loved ones to attend.
Speaking on his “New Heights” podcast ahead of the championship match, Kelce joked he was preparing for the game by “counting how much money I’m spending on this damn Super Bowl for family and friends to come”.
Swift, who also attended several other NFL games throughout the season to support Kelce, flew from Japan to the US for the special occasion, taking a brief pause from her world tour. She was joined by her friends Blake Lively and Ice Spice, as well as Kelce’s family.
The footballer’s mother Donna Kelce had previously said she expected to watch the game from the stands, given the “multimillion” price tag of boxes. However, it sounds like the player, who secured a $75 million deal back in 2020, masterminded a different plan.
