Prince Harry Reveals Meghan Markle’s Unexpected Pre-Birth Meal – You Won’t Believe What She Chose!”
Meghan Markle, known for her healthy lifestyle and diet, surprised many with her choice of pre-birth meal before welcoming her daughter, Princess Lilibet. The Duchess of Sussex, who used to run a wellbeing blog called The Tig, opted for a more relatable meal than one might expect considering her Royal status and access to world-class chefs.
Prince Harry revealed in his memoir Spare that Meghan chose burgers, fries from In-N-Out, and fajitas from a local Mexican restaurant. Princess Lilibet was born on June 4, 2021, at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, according to HELLO!.
Her birth came just over a year after the couple announced their decision to step back from Royal duties and move to the US. Reflecting on the day of Lilibet’s birth compared to their son Archie’s two years prior, Harry wrote: “When the big day came we were both surer, calmer – steadier. What bliss, we said, not having to worry about timing, protocols, journalists at the front gate.”
He added: “We drove calmly, sanely to the hospital, where our bodyguards once again fed us. This time they brought burgers and fries from In-N-Out. And fajitas from a local Mexican restaurant for Meg’.
We ate and ate and then did the Baby Mama dance around the hospital room. Nothing but joy and love in that room.” Despite Meghan’s typically healthy eating habits, she has previously confessed to having a soft spot for a certain fast food chain.
She revealed to Variety that In-N-Out is Harry’s preferred burger joint, adding: “There’s one at the halfway point between L.A. and our neck of the woods. It’s really fun to go through the drive-thru and surprise them. They know our order.”
Harry went on to disclose his order to People, stating: “I order two double-doubles, animal style, fries and a Coke! And that’s just for me! Meg gets the cheeseburger and fries with sides of jalapenos. I just stick with ketchup and that special sauce of theirs. So good!”
The former Suits star wasn’t the only Royal mother to deviate from the traditional Royal diet during her pregnancy. Kate Middleton mostly adhered to a plant-based diet while pregnant with each of her three children, which included indulging in avocado and berries as well as her morning porridge.
However, in the final few weeks of her pregnancy with her firstborn, Prince George, she reportedly enjoyed eating spicy vegetable curries.
