Pedro Pascal calls J.K. Rowling a ‘heinous loser’ for her anti-trans views

Actor Pedro Pascal pulled no punches with his objection to J.K Rowling‘s anti-trans views.

The star of the Emmy Award-winning series “The Last of Us” blasted the “Harry Potter” author for celebrating the April 16 U.K. Supreme Court ruling that transgender women are not legally defined as “women” under equality law.

“I love it when a plan comes together,” Rowling tweeted along with a snapshot of her smoking a cigar with a drink in hand. Her public gloating prompted content creator Tariq Ra’ouf to post a video ripping the bestselling British writer, comparing her to the “Harry Potter” villain Lord VoldemJ.K. Rowling is reveling in the fact that she helped the UK Supreme Court get to the point where they can define that trans women are not women legally,” Ra’ouf said. “She’s so proud of all the work that she’s been doing to stoke hatred and fear into the general public about a very small minority population that’s already some of the most misunderstood people on the Earth.”Pascal replied to the clip writing: “Awful disgusting S— is exactly right. Heinous LOSER behavior.”

The hunky Hollywood actor, whose sister Lux Pascal identifies as trans, is a champion of LGBTQ+ rights — and most recently wore a “Protect the Dolls” t-shirt to the London premiere of Marvel’s “Thunderbolts.” Designed by Conner Ives, the garment pays homage to the term “Dolls,” an endearing tribute that queer people use to refer to trans women. Pascal also adorned the shirt during his 50th birthday party on April 6.

In recent years, Rowling has expressed polarizing positions on the transgender community.

Considered “one of the most famous transphobic writers in the world” by the Human Rights Campaign, she has had a public kerfuffle with “Harry Potter” stars Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson for supporting trans rights.

In 2024, the self-described TERF — an acronym for trans-exclusionary radical feminist — was reported to police for intentionally misgendering British TV broadcaster India Willoughby, which the latter likened to a hate crime. Rowling, 59, has gone on record saying she would “happily” do prison time for her anti-trans views.
