Taylor Swift fans thought they had spotted their idol readying herself for her latest London gigs.

The singing sensation, 34, is back on UK soil for her next round of concerts in her World Eras Tour. She is set to perform to packed-out crowds across five nights in London from tomorrow (Thursday).

But some fans thought they had received an early treat on the banks of the Thames. However, all wasn’t as it seemed and instead of spotting the Shake It Off singer being snap happy on board a sightseeing boat, they instead witnessed a lookalike trying to fool onlookers.

Wearing a typical Taylor outfit of high-waisted black shorts and a white long-sleeved shirt, the doppelganger posed with her arm outstretched to grab the perfect angle for her shot. She posed with a head tilt as she donned chunky black glasses to imitate the star. She even had her hair on point to try to tease the mass amount Swifties in London.

The real Taylor, was in fact in London and did break her cover in the region. She threw a party for her tour staff at exclusive London venue Annabel’s on Monday evening and was spotted wearing a Vivienne Westwood red and green tartan jacket and skirt. She had a serious look on her face as she left the club at 3am on Tuesday.

The low-key appearance came as she prepared to kick off five performances at Wembley Stadium this week, amid heightened security. While Taylor has not yet commented publicly about the attempted attack on her Vienna shows, it is understood to have hit her hard, with sources close to the singer saying she was “devastated”
