That year on the bench likely helped him mature and understand how the most competitive league in the world operates, free from the pressure of being the starting quarterback. In that 2017 season, the Chiefs lost21-22 in the Wild Card round. Seven years later, only Travis Kelce,Harrison Butker, Chris Jones, and head coach Andy Reid remain alongside Mahomes from that team
