However, the two have known each other for a while. They initially crossed paths more than 10 years ago, when his family crashed with the Duggars during a snowstorm in Arkansas.
Jana and Stephen dated briefly a few years ago, then broke up and eventually got back together earlier this year.
“I haven’t always understood what the bigger picture is, but I know that God knows what is best for all of us,” Jana told People.
“And so for me, it’s getting married later.” The parents of 19 and grandparents of over three dozen little ones started out as high school sweethearts.
