“Drake Maye SHOCKED By Mahomes’ Influence, BREAKS SILENCE on Vrabel Hiring & Bill Belichick’s UNC Move!”

It’s been an eventful offseason for Patriots quarterback Drake Maye, who is entering his second season.
In the past few months, the Patriots hired a new head coach, Mike Vrabel, and an offensive coordinator, Josh McDaniels.
Last week, Maye attended the USAA’s Salute to Service Lounge at the Super Bowl Experience, where he gifted an army veteran with tickets to the Super Bowl in New Orleans.
Maye spoke to the media at the USAA event about his admiration for Patrick Mahomes, his new Patriots head coach, Mike Vrabel, and Bill Belichick, who was hired as the new coach of his alma mater.
Drake Maye: I think the way that he carries himself, I think he’s never in the media in a bad way, the way he handles himself off the field, the way he’s got a family now, and his play speaks for itself. I think the big thing with Pat is he’s so creative and I think this game’s getting to where you gotta make plays and do the right thing, but the thing with Pat is that he plays in the system so well. He knows the system so well, he’s been in the system, so for me it’s trying to get to that level. It takes a long time to get to where Pat’s at with their offense and what him and Coach Reid have been doing, it’s fun to watch them on Sundays
Have you talked to coach Vrabel yet, and do you have any thoughts on him?
Oh yeah, coach Vrabel, he’s done it in other places. He’s played in New England. He’s been a head coach and had success, So I’m excited to bring somebody in with some experience and, knows what it’s like to handle a locker room and be in the locker room. So I’m excited for Coach Vrabel and I think he’s gonna come out there and toughen us up, and I think we need some of us needs that, you know.
What are your thoughts on Bill Belichick being hired by your alma mater UNC?
It’s pretty cool. What a chance for my alma mater guys playing for North Carolina to get a chance to go there and play for a Hall of Fame coach who’s won Super Bowl rings. It’s a cool deal for them. Best of luck to them and the Tar Heels.
It’s the best college town, I think in my opinion, Chapel Hill is a special place, special people, you treat them good, they’ll treat you good.
Have you spoken with Tom Brady, what advice has he given you?
:I met with Tom last season, and he was great. He gave me some tips and was like, “Hey, there’s no shortcuts in this league around playing this position.” So it was awesome for me to get around him, and obviously, he’s one of the best to ever do, in my opinion.”
“So you know anytime I get around and try to ask him questions and he’s got a lot of stuff going on now with the broadcast and with the Raiders, so excited to hopefully get around some more.”
