Hold on to your seats, Swifties! Taylor Swift has just dropped The Tortured Poets Department 8.0, and it’s more mind-blowing than ever.

The controversy was speculated when Charli XCX and Billie Eilish unveiled their debut collaboration, “Guess”. When Charli and Eilish respectively released their latest albums, BRAT and HIT ME HARD AND SOFT, Swift announced new variants of the album appearing to want to block either artist from taking the number one spot. One user of X, formerly known as Twitter, wrote: “I used to like Taylor but the chart obsession is annoying. She already has so many awards and acknowledgements let other women WIN. Stop blocking new albums with ur new 50th dahm cd variants”.

When “Guess” dropped, fans of each artist were joking online about expecting another drop of The Tortured Poets Department from Taylor Swift, and of course their theories were right. The jokes have even extended to outside of the music world. The initial release of TTPD in April came with 19 physical formats, including nine CD, six vinyl, and four cassette variants. May and June saw Swift exclusive content such as acoustic tracks and live performances, and now she’s releasing voice notes and demos
