Jamie Foxx’s health crisis began with a ‘bad headache’, according to reports

As previously reported, way back in April 2023, Hollywood star Jamie Foxx was hospitalized for a medical emergency while filming the Netflix film, “Back in Action” in Atlanta.

Recently, the Oscar-winning actor was captured on video providing the first, but brief, details about his health crisis that made headlines.

He opened up about it to an unidentified group in Pheonix, Arizona, saying that it all started with a “bad headache.”

“Look, April 11th last year, Bad headache. I asked my boy for an Advil,” Foxx said before snapping his fingers. “I was gone for 20 days. I don’t remember anything. So they told me — I’m in Atlanta — so they told me my sister and my daughter took me to the first doctor,” the actor said, referring to his sister, Deidra Dixon, and daughter, Corrine Foxx.

“They gave me a cortisone shot,” the 56-year-old told the woman standing close to him.

According to the Mayo Clinic, a cortisone shot is used to “relieve pain, swelling and irritation.”

“The next doctor said something’s going on up there,” he continued, as he pointed to his head.

“I won’t say it on camera,” he said before adding, “But it was…” and then trailed off, shrugging his shoulders. The video then comes to an end.

As previously reported, on April 12, Foxx’s daughter took to Instagram to announce that the “Ray” star suffered from an undisclosed “medical emergency.”

“We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery,” the post read. “We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time. Much love, The Foxx Family.”

In July 2023, the “Django Unchained” star said he opted out of disclosing more information because he didn’t want the public to see him like that.
