Jason Kelce Makes Major Personal Announcement on Thursday
Jason Kelce has become one of the most beloved figures in the sports media industry, following his retirement from the Philadelphia Eagles.
Kelce played 13 season with the Eagles, leading the NFC franchise to a Super Bowl title in the 2017 season and serving as the team’s starting center for his entire tenure.
After Kelce hung up the cleats, he dived into multiple business endeavors.
While the most prominent is Kelce’s contract with ESPN’s “Monday Night Countdown,” Kelce is also a part of the “New Heights” podcast with his brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
The former Eagles star also founded Underdog Apparel, which sells products made in the United States.
On Thursday, Jason Kelce shared a New York Times article about Kelce’s apparel brand. Kelce revealed there’s more to come with the apparel brand and made it clear the brand will stick with American-made products.
Kelce shared his thoughts on the American-made brand, promoting what he believes to be a symbol that represents him as a member of the Philadelphia community. “I would much rather wear something that symbolized a blue-collar worker as opposed to a suit,” Kelce said. “(I) don’t think there’s any type of statement trying to be made other than, ‘Listen, there’s some really awesome reasons to support homegrown American businesses and local businesses,’ I have no issues with global trade whatsoever.”
