Patrick Mahomes branded Dylan Raiola his ‘lil cuzzo’ after the college recruit reported for Nebraska duty looking remarkably like the Super Bowl winner

Raiola, a five-star quarterback prospect for the Cornhuskers, went viral after pictures of him reporting for camp emerged on social media on Wednesday.

Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill was among those who spotted the resemblance between Mahomes and Raiola, who sported ski glasses and a similar haircut to the Chiefs quarterback.

‘Boy ain’t no way @PatrickMahomes,’ Hill wrote on social media before Mahomes responded to his former teammate. ‘That’s my lil cuzzo,’ the Chiefs star said.

Raiola also wears No 15 – just like Mahomes – and his new head coach, Matt Rhule, said the NFL hopeful models ‘a lot of his game’ on the Super Bowl MVP.

The teenage flipped to Nebraska in late 2023, having previously committed to both the Ohio State Buckeyes and Georgia Bulldogs

Raiola is following in the footsteps of his father Dominic, who was an All-American offensive lineman for the Cornhuskers.

The 19-year-old was born in Arizona and became a standout prospect in high school. He was named Polynesian Football Player of the Year in 2023.

Raiola will be hoping to emulate Mahomes on the field, too, and earn a spot as a quarterback in the NFL.

Last month, Jordan Love agreed to terms on a four-year contract extension worth $220million, according to reports.

Love’s new deal includes a $75m signing bonus and $155m in guarantees.

It makes him the joint highest-paid player in the league at present and the best-paid quarterback in NFL history.
