JUST IN: “Taylor Swift Responds to Travis Kelce’s Shift in Best NFL Tight End Rankings

Taylor Swift’s pride at Travis Kelce’s achievements in the NFL was palpable as she took to social media to acknowledge her boyfriend’s placing at the top of a poll that ranked the best tight ends in the league.

The “Love Story” hitmaker became well-versed in her boyfriend’s talents on the field last term, having attended 13 games involving the Chiefs. Her regular attendance appeared to be something of a lucky charm for KC too as they won ten times in her presence including in the Super Bowl showpiece.

Coming off the back of another successful campaign as he earned the third Super Bowl ring of his career, Kelce’s stock has arguably never been higher. Not only is the 34-year-old widely considered to be one of the top players in his position of all time, he has also now been adjudged to be the foremost tight end talent in the league currently.

That accolade comes after a poll run by ESPN which took into account over 80 votes from coaches, executives and scouts as they named their Top 10 tight ends. In spite of some healthy competition from George Kittle of the San Francisco 49ers, Kelce was given the nod by the voters.

That honor was bestowed upon Kelce after he topped the rankings in his position wth 51 receiving first downs and 65.6 yards per game in 2024. In addition, his sterling displays in the playoffs also strengthened his credentials for recognition as he tallied up 32 catches for 355 yards and three touchdowns across his four post-season outings.

After being named as the leading player in his position in the NFL, it was clear that the tight end’s girlfriend Swift was proud of his efforts. Taking to Instagram, her account even liked a post from the @chiefs.talk account which heralded Kelce, reading: “‘Craziest like EVER.”
The superstar singer’s activity on the social media site did not pass her dedicated army of fans by either, with several Swifties taking to the replies to acknowledge her engagement with the post. One wrote: “Taylor liking this post. She agrees!! lol,” while another added: “Taylor what are you doing here?!?
A third also said: “OMG you got Taylor Swift to like your post!!! You have such a great page so I am so happy you’re getting more recognition! AND the fact that Tay liked this post so quickly is the cutest thing! I love that she was browsing online and supporting her man!!!”

Hailing Kelce, an unnamed executive told the ESPN report: “He’s still a matchup problem in the passing game, still has tremendous rapport with [Patrick] Mahomes, big with great hands, instinctive, effective after the catch.”

They added: “He’s the focal point. You can put more resources toward stopping him. For years, he would kill one-on-ones every time. He maybe doesn’t do that as much but [is] still a problem there.”
