Just in: “Travis Kelce’s Fiery Outbursts: A Look at His Most Intense Moments on the Field”

Travis Kelce gets pretty emotional about things that he feels passionately about. Unfortunately, that’s resulted in a number of blowups on the football field that have included yelling, shoving and more.

While he’s kept his cool around girlfriend Taylor Swift, fans were shocked when Travis began screaming at Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid during the 2024 Super Bowl, even making physical contact with his boss.

Fortunately for the athlete, Andy was more forgiving than some viewers who thought Travis should have been suspended for his actions. “He loves to play the game and he wants to help his team win, and it’s not a selfish thing,” the coach said after the team won their fourth Super Bowl title. It wasn’t the first time nor was it the last that Travis’ temper got the better of him.
Training Camp Tirade The pressure of being the defending Super Bowl champs appeared to already be on Travis’ mind as he lost his cool on teammate George Karlaftis at the Chiefs’ training camp on July 24, 2024. Super Bowl Meltdown Football’s biggest game brought out the best and the worst in Travis when the Chiefs squared off against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII on February 11, 2024. As the Chiefs trailed in the second quarter and fumbled the ball, Travis lost it on the sidelines and took it out on Coach Reid, presumably for not putting him in the game for the botched play. The tight end got up in his coach’s face and was seen screaming and appeared to slightly shove the squad’s leader. After the Chiefs won the game in overtime, Andy told reporters Travis got caught up in the extremely “emotional” day. “You know, he bumps into me, I get after him, and we understand that. He just caught me off balance,” he explained. Travis never revealed exactly what he yelled at Andy, telling ESPN’s Booger McFarland, “Man, I’m gonna keep it between us. Christmas Day Fury In a 2023 Christmas Day home game against the Las Vegas Raiders, Travis got beyond frustrated with his opponents scoring 14 points in defensive touchdowns back-to-back. He was seen angrily throwing his helmet to the ground on the Chiefs’ sideline before their 20 to 14 loss. Travis later revealed how disappointed he was in himself, and that Coach Reid talked to him about the way he acted. “[Andy’s] looking out for me, and I love him for it. I didn’t go back out there and play good,” Travis told brother Jason Kelce on the December 27, 2023, episode of their “New Heights” podcast two days after the game. “He wanted to see the fire in me, and I reacted in a bad way. He wanted to just get the best out of me, and right now I’m just not playing my best football and I gotta f–king lock the f–k in, be more accountable for him, be more accountable for my teammates. Raiders Rage Two months after Travis and Taylor made their relationship public, Swifties got their first taste of his temper in a November 2023 away game against the Las Vegas Raiders. After Raiders’ cornerback Amik Robertson tackled Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice and attempted to strip the ball, Travis pulled the player off his teammate and shoved him to the ground. Raiders defensive end Jerry Tillery stepped in and got into a shoving match with Travis before the refs and teammates pulled them apart. Training Camp Troubles Travis lost it on his own teammates. He reportedly got into skirmishes with fellow players during training camp in July 2023. Coach Reid called the fighting a “waste of time.” “You get thrown out of games doing it, you get hurt out here doing it. They’re going to jaw a little bit. Just as long as there are not punches thrown, we’re all right,” he told reporters. Tackle Fury Referees had to separate Travis and Houston Texans player Desmond King II in a December 2022 game. While tacking the tight end, Desmond shoved Travis’ head into the turf, and he got up and stormed towards his opponent. Refs gave Travis an unnecessary roughness penalty for his actions.
