Kansas City Chiefs cut wide receiver following the NFL draft
The Kansas City Chiefs made a couple of moves at wide receiver this week.
They cut wide-out Reggie Brown this week after signing him as an undrafted free agent last week. Jaaron Hayek has been signed to replace Brown after he had a good tryout at rookie minicamp.
Hayek spent his collegiate career at Villanova and was with the program for five seasons, appearing in 48 games with 170 receptions for 2 744 receiving yards and 29 touchdowns.
He was also first-team All-CAA for the 2022 season.
Brown spent five seasons with James Madison and had by far the best year of his career in 2023, finishing with 53 receptions for 1,054 yards and nine touchdowns. Before that, his best season was in 2022 with 24 receptions for 401 yards and four touchdowns.
