“Kate Middleton and Prince William Make ‘Deliberate’ Decision Amid Prince Harry’s Challenges”

Prince William and Princess Kate decided not to see Prince Harry on his last visit back to the UK – and they are unlikely to do so any time soon after making an agreement together, according to an insider.

Once upon a time, William, Kate and Harry were inseparable. But since his departure from the Royal Family, Harry, along with his wife Meghan Markle, have been openly critical of the monarchy; from their notorious Oprah interview and their Netflix series to Harry’s bombshell memoir, Spare. And it seems it’s all proven too much for the Waleses. With Kate still receiving treatment following her cancer announcement, three young children to care for, and their prominent royal roles, the couple have decided to cut out the noise from the Susssex camp and “focus on positivity”.

A source confirmed to OK! Magazine: “William and Kate are very consciously focusing on positivity and recovery.” It comes after it was revealed that William has made the difficult decision to cut ties completely with his younger sibling. Royal expert Ingrid Seward told the Mirror: “William is sensitive, he likes structure and has perseverance. He does not give up easily. His relationship with brother Harry upset him more than he would care to admit. But he found it easier to cut ties rather than allow himself to be continually annoyed.”

Prince Harry was last in the UK for the Invictus Games’ 10th anniversary in May but failed to see any members of the royal family, including his dad, King Charles. The last time father and son duo were together was in February, when Harry jetted off to London following King Charles’s cancer announcement, However, their encounter at Clarence House lasted just 45-minutes

It comes at a difficult time for Prince Harry, who is facing backlash in the States after being named the upcoming recipient of the Pat Tillman Award. The honour is given to someone who has used their connection to the sports world to positively impact the lives of others. Harry is set to receive it for his work with The Invictus Games Foundation

But a petition has been set up calling for ESPN to ‘rethink’ their decision, which has so far amassed more than 73,000 signatures. Pat’s own mother has also expressed her upset at the decision, telling the Daily Mail : “I am shocked as to why they would select such a controversial and divisive individual to receive the award. There are recipients that are far more fitting. There are individuals working in the veteran community that are doing tremendous things to assist veterans. These individuals do not have the money, resources, connections or privilege that Prince Harry has. I feel that those types of individuals should be recognised

ESPN has since responded to the criticism, telling The Hollywood Reporter in a statement, “ESPN, with the support of the Tillman Foundation, is honouring Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, specifically for the work of The Invictus Games Foundation as it celebrates its 10th year promoting healing through the power of sport for military service members and veterans around the world. While we understand not everyone will agree with all honorees selected for any award, The Invictus Games Foundation does incredible work and ESPN believes this is a cause worth celebrating
