After Taylor Swift started dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, the singer grew close with quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and his wife, Brittany Mahomes.

Kelce and Mahomes not only have a special connection on the field, but they are best friends and business partners. The duo is set to open a steakhouse, 1587 Prime, a nod to their respective jersey numbers, in Kansas City next year.

Swift and Brittany’s blossoming friendship has been on display since the pop star attended her first Chiefs game last year.

During the offseason, Brittany and three-time Super Bowl MVP brought their kids, Sterling, 3, and Patrick “Bronze” Lavon III, who turns two next month, to Swift’s Rhode Island mansion for a weekend getaway.

With the Kansas City Current co-owners expecting baby No. 3, they are looking toward Kelce and Swift for a very special honor, according to a new report.

Insiders told The U.S. Sun that Kelce and Swift are the couple’s “first choice” to be their baby girl’s godparents.

“Patrick and Brittany love to spend time with Travis and Taylor,” the source told The U.S. Sun. “They see them as the best people to be the godfather and godmother of the next child.

“The Mahomes love how both are together. They trust them so much to be the best guys for the ‘job.’

The kids love Travis and call him Uncle Travis. Taylor is already considered their auntie, too. She is so sweet with them, and they love her.”

Despite their vastly different political views, the Mahomes see Swift and Kelce as “natural fit” to be their daughter’s godparents.

“They love the fact that they share many of the same values, even if they can have different opinions on some topics.

“They are more than friends, they are family members which is the most important thing of all.”
