Patrick Mahomes NFL Draft: What pick was Chiefs QB and who got drafted before him?
In the 2017 NFL Draft, Mitchell Trubisky was the only quarterback selected ahead of Patrick Mahomes.
Trubisky was chosen as the second overall pick by the Chicago Bears out of North Carolina, while Mahomes was selected as the 10th overall pick by the Kansas City Chiefs after playing college football at Texas Tech.
Since then, Mahomes has become one of the NFL’s top quarterbacks, having signed the largest contract in NFL history and has led the Chiefs to three Super Bowl victories in four appearances.
The first overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft was Myles Garrett, who was selected by the Cleveland Browns out of Texas A&M.
