Patrick Mahomes reacts to Chiefs’ decision on Andy Reid with one word
As expected, the Kansas City Chiefs have agreed to contract extensions for head coach Andy Reid, general manager Brett Veach and team president Mark Donovan.
Following back-to-back Super Bowl titles, the Chiefs are looking to run it back with the same leaders up top, and franchise quarterback Patrick Mahomes is clearly pumped.
Mahomes took to social media with a one-word reaction to this news on Monday.
“Yessir [flex emoji],” the superstar quarterback wrote.
Mahomes and Reid have been partnered as a QB/Coach duo since the two-time NFL MVP entered the league as a rookie in 2017, given their overwhelming success as partners, it makes sense that the Chiefs hope to keep them together as long as possible.
Reid’s new deal locks him in through the 2029 season. Mahomes is playing on a 10-year deal through a final non-void year in 2031.
Reid and Mahomes are gunning for the first ever Super Bowl three-peat in 2024.
