“SHOCKING: Aaron Rodgers’ Bombshell Decision at New York Jets Mini-Camp Sparks Serious Consequences! What Happens Next Will Leave Fans Stunned!”
Aaron Rodgers could be fined by his team for failing to report to minicamp this week.
New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh revealed on Tuesday that the veteran quarterback isn’t attending the team activity, having told him he had a previous commitment to an event that “is important to him.”
Saleh also noted that Rodgers’ absence was “unexcused” and could prompt a fine, per NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport.
The Jets and their fans look forward to seeing what Aaron Rodgers could bring to the team once fit to return to the field.
The four-time MVP joined NY before last season but was unfortunate to sustain a season-ending Achilles injury a few plays into his debut in Week 1.
He is back to full fitness, and just about everyone is hoping he can go the distance in 2024, which could make things very interesting.
Aaron Rodgers wasn’t the only high-profile Jets player who didn’t show up for the team’s two-day minicamp on Tuesday.
Edge rusher Haason Reddick also has been a now-show amid a contract dispute with the team
Reddick was acquired from the Philadelphia Eagles via a trade in March. The defensive star is due a non-guaranteed $14.25 million in base pay for the last year of his contract with his former team.
The two-time Pro Bowler avoided all voluntary workouts, forfeiting a $250,000 workout bonus. Minicamp, however, is mandatory, so he is subject to a $16,953 fine for missing the first day. Should he also miss the second day, as expected, the absence will incur a $33,908 fine.
