Shocking Confession: Jason Kelce Reveals Why He Hasn’t Washed His Hair in a Month!
Jason Kelce, the former Philadelphia Eagles star, recently opened up about his unconventional personal hygiene habits, sparking a wave of reactions across the internet. During the June 5 episode of the popular New Heights podcast, co-hosted with his brother Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs, Jason addressed criticism over his hygiene practices, particularly his reluctance to wash his feet and hair regularly.
Unwashed Feet and Hair: Jason Kelce’s Controversial Routine
Jason Kelce, 36, candidly discussed why he rarely washes his feet in the shower. “If my feet don’t have visible dirt, like I look at the bottom of them and they just look like feet, I’m not taking any type of scrubbing,” Kelce explained. “They’re getting the soap on the bottom of the shower that rinses off my b***s, my butt, and my armpits. And that’s it.”
Kelce also admitted to not washing his hair for months, deeming it unnecessary. “I can’t even tell you the last time I washed my hair. It’s completely unnecessary,” he stated, challenging the traditional views on cleanliness.
Social Media Reactions: ‘Big Soap’ and Public Outcry
The debate ignited when Kelce responded to a post by “Big Soap” on X (formerly Twitter) on June 1, accusing him of neglecting to wash his legs or feet. Kelce fired back, “What kind of weirdo washes their feet…” only to discover that many people do. The public outcry was swift and unforgiving, with users urging him to reconsider his hygiene habits.
One X user exclaimed, “Dude… wash your feet,” while another simply remarked, “Oh Jason…” The reactions reflect a broader societal expectation of thorough hygiene practices.
Defending Minimalist Hygiene: A Healthier Approach?
In a follow-up message on X, Kelce defended his minimalist approach, arguing that the idea of washing every crevice of the body frequently is a misconception. “All of you have been fed diabolical lies that washing every crevice of your bodies and hair, all the time, is somehow better or healthier. Any dermatologist not in bed with Big Soap will agree!! Hot spots are all that is necessary and actually leads to cleaner, healthier skin,” Kelce proclaimed.
Brotherly Insights: Travis Kelce’s Perspective
When Jason asked his younger brother Travis about his smell, the Kansas City Chiefs player admitted that Jason only occasionally has body odor. “The only time I smell you is when your pits smell. And you say you wash your pits, so… you might need to stop washing your pits,” Travis confessed.
Jason considered this feedback and concluded, “I just need to wear deodorant. That’s it. If I wear deodorant, then the pits are great.” Despite their differences, Travis admitted he’s not always diligent about washing his feet either, especially after football practice.
