SHOCKING MOMENT: “Prince Harry Urges Meghan Markle to Hold Off Confronting Charles Over New Venture”
Meghan Markle was reportedly left fuming at the timing of her father-in-law’s product release, a source has claimed.
The Duchess of Sussex sent out 50 jars of strawberry jam and a basket of lemons from her much-anticipated lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, to influencers in the US this April.
King Charles released his Highgrove Royal Estate Honey around the same time as her launch. And a source claimed to New Idea magazine that the 42-year-old believes it was “no coincidence”.
She is trying to establish herself as a lifestyle mogul but now she’s competing with a royal rival.” the insider said.
Since the Platinum Jubilee in 2022, Meghan hasn’t returned to the UK, living in California with Prince Harry, as reported by the Express.
After stepping back from royal duties in 2020, neither the Duke nor Duchess of Sussex were present for the annual Trooping the Colour in June or the Duke of Westminster’s wedding at Chester Cathedral.
With the recent introduction of Highgrove Splash, a men’s aftershave priced at $250, Charles has seemingly ruffled feathers further, especially since Meghan was “planning to develop her own men’s grooming range”.
The insider continued: “She had no idea [about this] and now suddenly, as she sees it, there’s a glut of his products on the market.
She’s one step away from calling Charles about the clash but Prince Harry is holding her back.”
Meghan was by her husband’s side last week at the ESPY awards in the US, where the 39-year-old was honoured for using his platform to “change the world” through the establishment of the Invictus Games.
The former Suits star is planning to concentrate on her American Riviera Orchard brand, but she’s “convinced” that Charles’s promotion of his new products is a “deliberate attempt to curb her success”.
Buckingham Palace has been approached for a comment.
