Taylor Swift might have just released Tortured Poets Department, but it looks like she’s back in her Lover era, thanks to Travis Kelce. The couple’s whirlwind romance has withstood the test of a global Eras tour schedule and a busy football season, and now, it appears that “Paper Rings” are back on Swift’s radar. One day after Kelce showed up in Germany to attend Swift’s July 17 and July 18 shows at Gelsenkirchen’s Veltins Arena, the Kansas City Chiefs star was clearly on Swift’s mind as she shared a romantic mashup seemingly dedicated to her boyfriend on July 19.

While Kelce had to miss Swift’s Friday show to fly back to the States to start the Chiefs training camp in Missouri, the “Karma” singer gave Swifties a sweet look at how serious her relationship has gotten – and it sounds like she’s seeing it being end game. Just hours after the couple were seen leaving the arena with Kelce’s arm wrapped around the singer, Swift serenaded the crowd with a surprise mashup of “Paper Rings” and “Stay, Stay, Stay,” which took on a new meaning with a football reference.

In a video shared by fans on X (formerly Twitter), Swift could be seen singing during her acoustic section, “I like shiny things, but I’d marry you with paper rings, that’s right, you’re the one I want” from her Lover album. Laughing, she told the crowd, “You’re all singing so loud. Yes!” before launching into “Stay, Stay Stay,” a 2012 single that she re-released as part of Red (Taylor’s Version) in 2021. When she sang the lyric, “That’s when you came in wearing a football helmet,” fans could be heard cheering and singing along.

It’s not the first time Swift has serenaded her boyfriend. During her final Amsterdam show, the “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” singer debuted a mashup of “Mary’s Song,” “So High School,” and “Everything Has Changed.” Kelce could be seen getting visibly emotional and wiping his face as she sang “Cause all I know is we said, ‘Hello,’ and your eyes look like coming home, all I know is a simple name and everything has changed.” Later, he clapped as Swift called out his jersey number and their shared birth year during “Mary’s Song,” singing, “I’ll by 87, you’ll be 89, I’ll still look at you like the stars that shine.”

While Kelce wasn’t there to hear her latest love song mashup, it’s safe to say that the athlete was still there in spirit as Swift rounded out her final Eras tour night in Germany.
