U2’s Heartwarming Gesture Leaves Taylor Swift in Tears Before Dublin Eras Tour – Already Feeling That Irish Hospitality
Taylor Swift got the best warm welcome to Ireland ahead of her Eras Tour shows this weekend.
On Friday, June 28, just a few hours before her first show, the “So Long, London” singer, 34, posted a photo on her Instagram Stories that showed a bouquet of bright-colored flowers and a sweet note from iconic rock band U2.
Dear Taylor, welcome back to our hometown…leave some of it standing?!!!!” the legendary musicians wrote. They signed it, “Your Irish fan club, Bono, Edge, Adam and Larry.”
Swift responded to the band’s letter, writing over her photo, “Already feeling that Irish hospitality!! @u2, thanks for always being the classiest & coolest.” She concluded her caption by adding the Irish flag emoji.
This isn’t the first time the pop star has received a nice gesture from U2. In 2018, for her pair of Reputation concerts at Croke Park in Dublin, the rock group sent her a bouquet of red roses and a note again signed, “From your Irish fan club”
The “Karma” musician posted a photo of the flowers and the cute note on her Instagram page and captioned it, “Walked into my dressing room to find roses from @U2 and I WAS NOT READY FOR IT. I LOVE U2 I LOVE IRELAND LETS DO THIS CROKE PARK!!!”
Swift will perform at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium from June 28 to June 30, with Paramore opening each show. Her trio of concerts follows her epic three-show run at London’s Wembley Stadium June 21-23, which brought out all the stars — and even the Royals! — plus her NFL boyfriend, Travis Kelce; only this time, he joined her onstage.
During her final show on Sunday, the pop superstar shocked concertgoers by bringing out her dapper football pro
beau to participate in her “I Can Do It with a Broken Heart” outfit change. Wearing a full tuxedo and top hat, the Kansas City Chiefs player stepped in for one of Swift’s dancers to carry her during the segment.
