From Noah Lyles’ mad dash for Olympic glory in the men’s 100m final, to Bobby Finke’s demonstration of sheer willpower in the men’s 1500m freestyle final, Day 9 of the Olympic Games Paris 2024 will be an unforgettable parade of excitement, jubilation and heart-pounding action.

The scenic triathlon mixed relay will get the day started bright and early for Team USA. It will be a real feast for the eyes, as men’s golf enters the final day of competition at Le Golf National, while the women’s road race winds its way around the suburbs and interior of Paris. A golden hue will color the evening, as athletes fight for medals in athletics, artistic gymnastics and swimming across magnificent venues in the French captial

Read on to discover Team USA’s highlights on Day 9 of Paris 2024.

Noah Lyles has spent years dreaming of this day. He’s sculpted his body into a dynamic instrument of speed and power, refined his form through numerous battles on the track, and strengthened his character through adversity and success in anticipation of being crowned the world’s fastest man at the Olympic Games.

The anime-obsessed sprinter will attempt to end a 20-year victory drought in the men’s 100m meters that has seen the United States resigned to silver and bronze medals at the Olympics.

As the reigning world champion, the weight of expectations will be immense, but Lyles wouldn’t want it any other way. Rising to the challenge, he’ll look to snatch victory from his rivals in this drama-drenched showcase of speed, power and mental fortitude. However, he won’t be the only athlete looking to shine in the spotlight at the Stade de France.

Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone will make her much-anticipated return to the Olympic stage a few hours before Lyles, competing in Round 1 of the women’s 400m hurdles. The world will watch with bated breath as she races for the first time since setting a new world record of 50.65 seconds at the US Olympic Team Trials in Eugene, Oregon

While it will be difficult to upstage the excitement of the day’s athletics program, Bobby Finke will do his best to turn heads in the direction of the Paris La Defense Arena.

Swimming in the final of the men’s 1500m freestyle, the reigning Olympic champion will attempt to recreate his heroics from three years ago, employing a potent concoction of speed, endurance and race strategy. With thousands of fans cheering him on, it certainly won’t be a moment to miss on Day 9 of the Olympic Games Paris 2024.
